Scott French started his artistic career as a musician, playing jazz in small clubs in New Orleans and Detroit. Traveling from one club to the next, and experiencing and meeting eclectic groups of people and cultures. He found painting as his true passion, and left his music behind to become a painter. Eventually moving back to Atlanta and painting full time. To Scott, the search for his own individuality is of the utmost importance. His art is full of honesty and creativity, and it is constantly enriched by his inquistive nature, his desire to find his own voice, and his effort to create lasting interpretations of what he experiences and sees.
